China launches second round of water purification projects

China has announced two more water purifiers aimed at reducing the country’s water use and pollution levels, including a new commercial water filter.

The two products will be offered in the marketplaces of the countrys main public-sector companies, and are aimed at helping meet the country´s target to cut water use by 25 per cent by 2020.

The products, called Xiamen and Qingdao, will be available by the end of the year, according to the Chinese government.

China aims to achieve the goal of reducing water consumption by 25% by 2020 by making the country more environmentally friendly.

The countrys water-intensive industries account for a significant portion of China´s GDP.
